A note on "A multi-period profit maximizing model for retail supply chain management"
In this note we present an efficient exact algorithm to solve the joint pricing and inventory problem for which Bhattacharjee and Ramesh (2000) proposed two heuristics. Our algorithm appears to be superior also in terms of computation time. Furthermore, we point out several mistakes in the paper by Bhattacharjee and Ramesh.
متن کاملReservation Profit Levels and the Division of Supply Chain Profit∗
We address the problem of supply chain performance when the retailers have bargaining power. In particular, in a supply chain with one supplier selling to multiple competing retailers, we investigate the effect of retailer bargaining power in the allocation of total supply chain profit among all channel members. We model a retailer’s bargaining power through its ability to set reservation profi...
متن کاملProfit Analysis and Supply Chain Planning Model for Closed-Loop Supply Chain in Fashion Industry
In recent decades, due to market growth and use of synthetic fiber, the fashion industry faces a rapid increase of CO2 emission throughout the production cycle and raises environmental issues in recovery processing. This study proposes a closed-loop supply chain (CLSC) structure in fashion industry and develops its planning model as multi-objective mixed integer linear programming to find an op...
متن کاملContracting Under Asymmetric Holding Cost Information in a Serial Supply Chain with a Nearly Profit Maximizing Buyer
Screening contracts (or non-linear “menu of contracts”) are frequently used for aligning the incentives in supply chains with private information. In this context, it is assumed that all supply chain parties are strictly (expected) profit maximizing and, therefore, sensible to even arbitrarily small pay-off differences between contract alternatives. However, previous behavioral work on contract...
متن کاملCost , revenue and profit efficiency in supply chain
A supply chain is a set of suppliers, manufactures and distributors, which are linked together. The first chain is a supplier and the last one is customers. What is the most important in supply chain are highquality products by the least cost and the most benefit. In this regard, each input and output and intermediate have unit price and unit cost information. The cost-minimization and the prof...
